Bears & Butterflies (Pre-K 3)

About the Class
Three-year-olds are enjoying an explosion of learning and their social-emotional development deepens for the next few years. Teachers work with children to develop their growing competence to express themselves through verbal language as well as through drawing, painting, dance, movement, blocks, social-dramatics, collage, writing, sight word recognition and much more. Three-year-olds’ growing expressive and receptive abilities, self-help skills and conceptual understandings are maximized by project-based learning where children and teachers inquire, observe and cultivate your child’s love of learning. Classroom activities include theme-based units, celebrating Jewish holidays, circle time, art, reading, science exploration, math readiness, dramatic play, story time, sight word recognition and portfolio development. Weekly activities include Spanish, Hebrew, music and yoga. There are several off-campus chaperoned field trips throughout the year. Children do not need to be toilet trained for this program.
