Our Cemeteries
Our Cemeteries
Congregation Gates of Prayer owns and maintains two historic cemeteries for its members. One, located on Joseph Street in Uptown New Orleans, dates to 1850 and is the 2nd oldest surviving Jewish Cemetery in New Orleans. The other, on Canal Street in mid-city, dates to 1858, and traces its origins to several congregations and cemetery associations.
