L'Dor Vador
L'Dor Vador
Congregation Gates of Prayer is proud to share that we have officially
launched our capital campaign, L’dor Vador: a legacy of giving, a future of hope.
Our goal is to continue to build a future for our congregation through
three robust campaign goals:
Synagogue building and campus improvements
Renovation of the Gates Preschool and playground
Do right by our historic cemeteries
Our capital campaign is motivated, in part, by the desire to refresh and update our campus. From safer play spaces for children and families, to updated technology that will enhance services and programs, to indoor and outdoor spaces that will create a sense of awe, we are excited to give our synagogue and preschool a new look. We host several programs and events that are open to the entire Jewish community, and we are looking forward to having a building that can better support everyone for decades to come.
Our campaign budget includes:
Synagogue improvements and building endowment | $2,400,000
Renovation of the Gates Preschool and playground | $2,200,000
Do right by our historic cemeteries | $1,000,000
175th-anniversary events and campaigns costs | $400,000
TOTAL CAMPAIGN BUDGET | $6,000,000
Jewish traditions often center around family and the passing of those traditions from one generation to the next. When children celebrate holidays, lifecycle events, and participate in family rituals, they make marking those occasions a priority with the families that they create in the future. The next generation of Jewish leaders could be your children, grandchildren, and beyond, and creating meaningful connections to tradition is at the root of passing on Jewish values. Congregation Gates of Prayer is committed to those connections; help us as we celebrate with you, generation after generation, in the building that we call home.
When you invest in the future of Congregation Gates of Prayer, you are investing in the warmth, tradition and pride of our collective Jewish identity. Gathering to engage in Jewish traditions offers a connection to a broader Jewish community, both locally and globally, and allows individuals to celebrate holidays and lifecycle events together as one Jewish family. Congregation Gates of Prayer is at the center of our Jewish belonging in Louisiana and we must sustain that sense of belonging for future generations. What will be your legacy for the future generations at our synagogue?
Consider this:
What would you like to contribute to our capital campaign?
