Space Torah: An Evening with Rachel Raz

Thursday, Nov 7th 7:00p to 8:00pSpace Torah: An Evening with Rachel Raz November 7 7pm Congregation Gates of Prayer In 1996, the first Jewish astronaut, Jeffrey Hoffman, took a small Torah scroll on board Space Shuttle Columbia. Join us to hear more about this extraordinary true story from Hoffman's documentarian, Rachel Raz, the executive producer of the award-winning film, "Space Torah." The event will include a screening of the 25-minute film. Please join us for a brief reception with Rachel after the program. This event is proudly sponsored by Jewish Community Day School and its Parents Association, Gates of Prayer, and Tulane University.
